This is № 512 of Pilentum's model railroad videos. Steef van der Straeten, Danielle van Wingerden and Gerda Hoogerwerf (“Stedahult”) have modelled a famous Danish local railway, namely the Odsherredsbanen, in miniature. Usually the focus is on long-forgotten railway lines or on old locomotive sheds (“abandoned premises”), which are exactly modelled on the basis of old postcards and books. The members of the model railroading club “Modelspoorclub Het Spoor” from Sint-Niklaas in Belgium have taken up this challenge and constructed a high-precision replica of the Belgian railway line 127 and Braives railway station.

Once again he picks up the French flair and has built a market place on a footprint of only one square meter, where a narrow-gauge branch line has a terminus.

Adrian’s model train layout is only 2.50 m x 0.50 m, but still offers plenty of space for shunting and running model trains. The scenery is set on the Iberian Peninsula. Most of the time, locomotives and trains of the Spanish National Railway Network RENFE (“Red Nacional de los Ferrocarriles Españoles”) are in use.

In this cab ride video, we discover both the Swiss model railway layout and the Italian model railroad layout at the world’s largest model train exhibition, called “Miniatur Wunderland” in Hamburg, Germany. The camera train meets oncoming model trains and finally arrives at the large central station of the city of Rome, called “Stazione Ferroviaria Roma Termini”

That fascination becomes even greater when we hear the steam locomotive sound and when we see the smoke rising from the chimney or smokestack. Near a railway depot on the model railway layout of a German model building club, Pilentum filmed some great scale models.
