This is № 527 of Pilentum's model railroad videos. Once upon a time, there was an enormous steel bridge in Saxony, Germany, built in 1904 and used by the Saxon Narrow Gauge Railways. Jochen Klinger and Jens Petermann were so fascinated by the history of this bridge that they decided to rebuilt the bridge in 1/87 scale.

The absolutely amazing model railroad layout “Le Bassin”, created by model builders Wieger Pasman and Floris Dilz in HO scale, depicts the Liège steel industry in Belgium. In the 1980’s the steel industry was to change completely because many parts of the steelworks were shut down. A mystical atmosphere emerged and the steelworks seemed like a patchwork of active and abandoned industrial buildings. This atmosphere fascinated model railway enthusiasts Wieger Pasman and Floris Dilz so much that they decided to build a model rail layout illustrating the industrial buildings in the inner cities of Seraing and Ougrée.

The miniature world in HO scale represents a section of the former tramway between Drachten and Groningen in the Netherlands.

Steef van der Straeten, Danielle van Wingerden and Gerda Hoogerwerf (“Stedahult”) have modelled a famous Danish local railway, namely the Odsherredsbanen, in miniature. The unique beauty, the variety of colours and the perfect craftsmanship in model making give the model railway layout a special look.

Model builders Yannick De Vynck and Dirk Colman presented a historically accurate replica of the Belgian railway line 12 at Heide station in the Belgian municipality of Kalmthout in the province of Antwerp. The model railway layout in HO scale was designed to represent the beginning of the 20th century, when steam locomotives and steam trains still were in service.
