The model train layout depicts an original section of the double-tracked line between the level crossing “Boltolph’s Bridge Crossing” and the bridge named “New Cut Sewer” crossing the drainage canal.

The period of East German railway traffic offers a rich repertoire for model railroading. This is why Jens Petermann started building the station of Jahnsbach with his team called “Bimmlbahner” in 2013. The rolling stock has been weathered and modified exactly according to old photos.

In rural regions, especially in the state of Saxony, narrow gauge steam engines were in use, for example on the “Pressnitz Valley Railway”.

In rural regions in particular, there were narrow-gauge railways and small branch lines that were operated exclusively with steam locomotives. This period of East German railway traffic offers a rich repertoire for railway modelling. Franz Rittig is a well-known railway modeller who depicts the railway infrastructure of the North German region Mecklenburg in his model railways. His latest model railway in 1/87 scale consists of two dioramas on an area of 2.7 m x 0.4 m x 0.5 m depicting the train station of Friedrichsruhe and Alt Warnow.
This is № 552 of Pilentum's model railroad videos. After four years of work, the new section of Patagonia in Miniatur Wunderland was opened. The 65-square-meter section wants to depict many typical attractions of Patagonia in 1/87 scale, for example, the Perito Moreno Glacier, where every few minutes blocks of ice crash into the water. There are not only the modern trains operated by the state-owned railway company called “Tren Patagónico”, but also the old steam trains running on narrow-gauge tracks and widely known as “La Trochita”.
