In Luxembourg, this railroad line is called the “North Line” or “Linn Lëtzebuerg - Ettelbréck - Elwen - Belsch Grenz” (“Ligne Luxembourg - Ettelbruck - Troisvierges - Frontière Belge). The Luxembourgian miniature world consists of an electrified, double-track main line. In addition, there is a switch between both tracks to allow track changes. Furthermore, there are first-class modelled trees and bushes, a level crossing and a large cornfield. Finally, the rolling stock has been weathered. All in all, Pit Karges has hidden so many details on his train layout that you have to look twice or three times to explore everything.

The model railway reflects the 1950’s and 1960’s when Boston and Maine Railroad was important for freight traffic for the local industry and for passenger train service in the region. The model railroad called “Cold Water Junction”, designed to teach viewers about U.S. railroad history, was presented during the prominent exhibition “Modeltrein Expo On traXS” at the National Railway Museum of the Netherlands in Utrecht.

His beautiful model train layout is called “Neupreussen Main Station” and measures about 2.60 x 1.95 meters. Because “Neupreussen Main Station” is supposed to be located in the border area between Germany and Austria, we see model locomotives and model trains of different railway companies. These model trains are made by the manufacturers Piko and Roco.

This video is dedicated to all those viewers in the United States of America who can still remember the spectacular Ringling Brother’s Barnum and Bailey Circus. This is № 492 of Pilentum's model railroad videos. Rail transport modeling in Germany is closely associated with those steam locomotives and diesel locos of the former state railroad (German Federal Railway) from the 1960's. Therefore, there are many model railroading enthusiasts who recreate that romantic era. The rail diorama we see in this video follows this railway modelling philosophy and depicts a small station in Germany where a lot of freight traffic is handled.
