After almost two years of construction, Alain Kap has completed his model train layout depicting the old Useldange railway station in Luxembourg in the 1960s. The HO scale layout consists of three segments with a total length of 2.70 meters. The small miniature world follows the philosophy of many model railroaders and railway modellers, namely to rebuilt long-gone railroad lines.
This is № 580 of Pilentum's model railroad videos. Some people call it simply model train diorama, other call it micro model railway layout, shunting layout or shelf layout. Whatever the correct term may be, the German model railroader Heiko Wendler constructed a highly detailed model railroad layout depicting a quarry where ore is loaded onto trains. The model rail layout has a width of 130 cm and a depth of 30 cm.

In recent years, the Polish model railway club “Polska Makieta Modułowa H0 - Grupa Modelarska” and its members have surprised visitors at international model railway exhibitions with extremely detailed and lovingly designed HO scale model train layouts. A member of the club, Leszek Lewiński, presents a Polish narrow-gauge model rail diorama in museum quality. His model railroad layout is called “Over the Roofs of Kwidzyn” (“Nad dachami Kwidzyna”).
This is № 525 of Pilentum's model railroad videos. In Chile, Cristóbal Miranda built a superb model railroad layout in HO scale. His beautiful model train layout is called “Neupreussen Main Station” and measures about 2.60 x 1.95 meters. Because “Neupreussen Main Station” is supposed to be located in the border area between Germany and Austria, we see model locomotives and model trains of different railway companies. These model trains are made by the manufacturers Piko and Roco.

In Budapest, the capital of Hungary, there is a small model railway shop that has built a pretty nice model rail layout in HO scale for the presentation of new model trains and scale models. But very often the model railroad layout is used for playing with steam locomotives and enjoying railway operating sessions.
This is № 515 of Pilentum's model railroad videos. The most beautiful inspirations for rail transport modeling, model railroads and model railways are often provided by Switzerland. Therefore, Rob de Vleeschhouwer and Wim Wijnhoud have modelled the railway infrastructure between the Swiss and German border. The model railway layout is called “Court du Bouton” and depicts the rail traffic of trains used by the German state railroads (DB) and the Swiss state railways (SBB).

The absolutely amazing model railroad layout “Le Bassin”, created by model builders Wieger Pasman and Floris Dilz in HO scale, depicts the Liège steel industry in Belgium. In the 1980’s the steel industry was to change completely because many parts of the steelworks were shut down. A mystical atmosphere emerged and the steelworks seemed like a patchwork of active and abandoned industrial buildings. This atmosphere fascinated model railway enthusiasts Wieger Pasman and Floris Dilz so much that they decided to build a model rail layout illustrating the industrial buildings in the inner cities of Seraing and Ougrée.

The miniature world in HO scale represents a section of the former tramway between Drachten and Groningen in the Netherlands.
