This is № 561 of Pilentum's model railroad videos. For over 40 years, rail transport in East Germany was characterised by trains operated by the Deutsche Reichsbahn. In rural regions in particular, there were narrow-gauge railways and small branch lines that were operated exclusively with steam locomotives. This period of East German railway traffic offers a rich repertoire for railway modelling. Franz Rittig is a well-known railway modeller who depicts the railway infrastructure of the North German region Mecklenburg in his model railways. His latest model railway in 1/87 scale consists of two dioramas on an area of 2.7 m x 0.4 m x 0.5 m depicting the train station of Friedrichsruhe and Alt Warnow.
