This superb model railroad layout was designed by René Paul from the Netherlands. It is an American HOn3 layout, called “Standard Oil Fields”, which was originally built for shunting with model trains but now used as a show layout for rail transport modeling exhibitions. The size is about 3.6 meters in length and 1.3 meters in width. The layout depicts the early days of crude oil production and its transport by rail. There are drilling towers, warehouses and workers fixing the broken oil pipeline.
