Last weekend, Pilentum visited a model railway exhibit for US model trains in Germany. One of the most impressive displays was built by Juergen Tuschik, a German model railroader. For creating his miniature world he chose neither HO scale nor N scale, but Z scale.
The layout, named “Flaggstone East Terminal” presents a marshalling yard with industrial plants in the foreground and a silhouette of a big city in the background. Of course, there are larger and perhaps more beautiful model railway layouts, but in this case the small size of only 1/220 scale is extremely special.
