1928, a German engineer was building this model train layout in O scale. He wanted to take this model railway layout to be exhibited at fairgrounds. Remember, at that time there was no possibility to buy trains, locomotives or rails. So everything on this model railroad layout was created by hand.
The whole layout was always increased. There were added more steam locomotives, more tracks and more buildings. Until 1975, this model train setup was exhibited at the Berlin Christmas Market (West Berlin). Then it was sold to an amusement park. In this amusement park this film recordings were made (narrow-gauge film). Today, this model railway still exists and it is the oldest model railroad in O gauge in Europe. Sorry about the poor film quality, but it was filmed with an amateur camera from the 1970's.
