This engine shed, train depot or railway depot was constructed by the members of a German model railway club. It is built in 1 Scale or 1 Gauge. In this place usually locomotives are housed when not being used, and also repaired and maintained. Steam locomotives are there for coaling, watering, refuelling and replenishing water, lubricating oil and grease and, for disposal of the ash.
At this running shed or engine shed there is also a workshop for day to day repairs and maintenance. There are beautiful locomotives, for example the German steam locomotive class 50 and the famous Swiss Crocodile locomotive, a steeplecab electric locomotive. Please enjoy this litte motive power depot or traction maintenance depot.
