Franz Rittig is a well-known railway modeller who depicts the railway infrastructure of the North German region Mecklenburg in his model railways. His latest model railway in 1/87 scale consists of two dioramas on an area of 2.7 m x 0.4 m x 0.5 m depicting the train station of Friedrichsruhe and Alt Warnow.

The two model railway enthusiast Jens Petermann and Jochen Klinger wanted to show the special feature of the different gauge of the Pressnitz Valley Railway on their model railway layout. Therefore, they rebuilt the station of the community of Steinbach on two 1.25 x 0.6 meter railway modules in order to depict the historical railroad operations.
