Model Railway Layout with Diesel Trains and Steam Locomotives

This model railway layout in O scale was built as a modular model train display by a German railroader association. Before the members started model railroading, they decided on the one hand, that they want to build their railway in 1/45 scale, and on the other hand, that their home town should be the focus of their model landscape.

Because the members are living in the Westphalia region, Germany, on the railroad layout there is a little railway line, non-electrified of the former Deutsche Bundesbahn. Passenger trains arrive and depart at the station. Diesel trains and freight trains are crossing the scenery.
