Model Railway Diorama “Les Robertmonts - Rue des Thermes” in HO scale by Pascal Hubert

In October 2018, Pascal Hubert presented his superb model railway layout in HO scale at the great model railway exhibition “Modelspoor Expo”. The model train diorama is based on the C Track rail system by Märklin. Pascal Hubert calls his model railroad display “Les Robertmonts - Rue des Thermes”. It is a railway station with passenger trains and freight trains of the National Railway Company of Belgium (SNCB).

In Belgium, the “Robertmonts” are known for the quality of their spring waters since Roman times. Since that time, a famous spa resort developed. The spa resort became even better known when it was connected to the Belgian railway network. Spa guests travel by train and stay in the Palace Hotel, a luxury hotel next to the train station. However, something like that was common in the 1950s.

Exactly this historic atmosphere was recreated by Pascal Hubert in his little miniature world. The construction of his model railway began in November 2017. The trains are controlled by an Esu ECos II model railway controller. Feedback is ensured by the Viessmann S88 feedback decoder with track occupancy detector. On his diorama, for example, there are a diesel locomotive SNCB (Marklin), a steam locomotive type 64 SNCB and a locomotive Type 26 SNCB.
