Model Railroad Operations at the Cologne Model Railway Club in 1 Gauge (1:32 Scale)

Twice a year, the members of the Cologne Model Railway Club in Germany organize open days on their very large 600 square meter (6,450 square feet) model railroad layout. The model train club's activities include not only railroad operations, but also model building, maintenance and expansion of the club's model train layout that is built in 1 gauge (1/32 scale).

The club's model railway layout consists of a main line with a 6-track train station and a double-track line in the further course. In addition, there are branch lines in mixed operation for standard-gauge and narrow-gauge railroads. The entire model railroad layout is digitally controlled. The rolling stock, for example steam locomotives, diesel locos, etc. are made by manufacturers such as Dingler, Hübner, Kiss, Koch, KM-1 and Märklin.
