With his beautiful model railway layout, which is called “Sehr am Üzant”, Alan Jockmans wants to take viewers back to the period from about 1871 to 1920, when they were various state railways in Germany. Covering an area of just one square meter, a beautiful mountain village dating back to the Middle Ages is presented on a rock face.
Below the mountain village is a railway tunnel, connected to an old steel bridge, on which a narrow-gauge railway runs. After crossing the bridge, the steam trains reach a small railway station. Alan Jockmans began construction of his model railroad layout in late summer 2018. The core idea was to build a fictional mountain village in Germany with typical architecture. He modelled the buildings using a recurring combination of natural stone and half-timbering to create a special atmosphere.
