Usually, we love very large model railway layouts, so model trains have a lot of space. But the model railroad display made by Henk Wust and Jan van Mourik from Belgium is limited to an area of 80 cm x 80 cm only. That’s approximately 31.5 inches x 31.5 inches. Henk Wust and Jan van Mourik call their little model train diorama “Mouville” which was presented in the magazine “Train Miniature Magazine” and “Continental Modeller”.
It is a tribute to all the beautiful, pretty, small and charming villages of France in 1/87 scale. Therefore, the both model railway enthusiasts reproduced small station and a goods hall located on a narrow-gauge regional railway line with a rail spacing of 9 mm. Furthermore, there is a village on a hill with pretty beautiful roads and houses. The original rural charm of any small French village was copied exactly from reality to this little diorama.
